FSUPD Covid-19 Update

In an effort to limit the potential for exposure and out of an abundance of caution; FSUPD will modify procedures for responses to calls for service by implementing telephone reporting procedure where feasible and limiting certain response protocols.

Please note that telephone reports are intended and will be employed for offenses that do not require a police response due to violence, life safety concerns, crimes in progress or the need to collect evidence.

FSUPD will not offer fingerprinting services until further notice.

“These modifications are undertaken out of an abundance of caution to ensure we are taking appropriate steps to reduce unnecessary risks of exposure to COVID-19 for members of the FSU Police Department and for the FSU community.

“The public should rest assured that our services remain available. We are continuing to function as a law-enforcement agency should under the unusual circumstances we all are facing,” The FSU Police Department is taking prudent precautions to ensure we can continue to respond to calls for service.

Sincerely,

Chief Terri Brown
