Information Technology Services (ITS)

ITS provides vital technology support to the FSU Police Department as well as students, faculty and staff at Florida State University. ITS is dedicated to delivering an effective, comprehensive and secure technology infrastructure to the campus community. ITS works closely with key campus stakeholders and to develop plans and technology services in support of the educational and research missions of the university. ITS services range from common good technologies such as email, network, voice and web services, to specialized applications focused on data, integrations and reports for the FSU Police Department.

Records

The FSU Police Department Records Section places a high priority on efficient, effective, and economical management of public records to ensure that information is available when and where it is needed, in an organized and efficient manner, and in an appropriate environment.

Crime Scene Investigations/Evidence

Crime Scene Investigators/Evidence Technicians are responsible for processing, collecting, identifying, photographing or videotaping, and preserving physical evidence in the field, and documenting custody transfer of physical evidence. Crime Scene Investigators/Evidence Technicians are also responsible for latent fingerprint searches and collection, crime scene reports, laboratory analysis submissions, and access to personnel, equipment and supplies for crime scene processing.

CASS is responsible for Consultation for Security Systems and Services, FSU Card Access, Intrusion Alarm Systems, Closed Circuit Television, Emergency Phone Program, Building/Area Access Systems, and University Security Policies and Procedures.
